Eligibility

Description

AGE LIMIT:
Minimum Age:
25 Years
Maximum Age:
1. Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes and Destitute Widows of all categories - 40 years
2. Most Backward Classes / Denotified Communities, and Backward Classes(Other than Muslim) - 37 years
3. Others” [ i.e Applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs (Other than Muslim) and Destitute Widows of all categories] - 35 years
Note:
i. No maximum age limit for applicants belonging to SCs / SC (A)s ,STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs (Other than Muslim) and Destitute Widows of all categories who possess a General Educational Qualification which is higher than the Minimum General Educational Qualification (i.e. who have passed P.U.C / H.S.C / Diploma /Degree).
ii. Applicants not belonging to SCs/ SC (Arunthathiyars), STs, MBC/DCs, BCs (Other than Muslim) i.e. “Others” who have put in five years of service in the State / Central Government are not eligible to apply even though they are within the age limit.
AGE CONCESSION
(i) Age Concession for Differently Abled Persons having Minimum General Educational Qualification: Differently Abled Persons are eligible for age concession upto 10 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed above.
(ii) Age Concession for Ex-servicemen having Minimum General Educational Qualification:
(a) The maximum age limit is 53 years for applicants belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs and BCs (Other than Muslims).
(b) The maximum age limit is 48 years for “others” (i.e) applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs and BCs (Other than Muslims).
(c) The above mentioned age concession will not apply to Ex-Servicemen applicants those who have already been recruited to any class or service or category.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Applicants should possess the following or its equivalent qualification:-
Minimum General Educational Qualification; OR The title of “Tamil Pulavar” recognized by the University Grants Commission. Provided that, other things being equal, preference shall be given to employees of Religious Institutions (other than Government Servant) who have put in not less than 5 years of Service.
Explanation:
Minimum General Educational Qualification means:
(i) A pass in the SSLC Examination with eligibility for admission to College courses of studies in the Universities in this State. (11 years course of study) OR
(ii) A pass in the SSLC Examination of this State. (10 years course of study)
